The Meena tribe of Rajasthan decorate their houses in different ways. The popular art practiced by Meena women, which most of us know about is the mandana, where they create beautiful patterns on the wall and floorings.
However, they also create a functional craft product, beautiful wall niches with cutwork and mirror work to beautify walls and to create storage. These niches are called 'aliya' in local language.
In this workshop, we will work with artist Sh. Ramdev Meena, who will guide us to create an aaliya step by step. You can chose to create a size and design variation of your own. We will teach you multiple options.
Join us for this 10 days workshop to learn this special craft.
