Foster appreciation for our cultural legacy andhelp it sustain for future generations

The FOLK Workshop

FOLK Workshop is committed to promoting, propagating, and preserving India's rich cultural heritage through its diverse folk art forms, many of which are endangered with only a handful of practitioners left. Our immersive workshops and long-term courses aim to develop sensitivity towards these traditions while providing authentic learning experiences. By collaborating with master artisans, we ensure the continuation of these art forms, fostering sustainable livelihoods and a deeper appreciation for our cultural legacy.

Join us in our mission to celebrate and preserve India's vibrant folk art heritage, ensuring its vitality for generations to come.

ONLINE LEARNING PLATFORM

The FOLK Workshop serves as an online learning platform that facilitates a profound connection between Indian folk art
enthusiasts and traditional practitioners. Our platform offers an immersive and intensive learning experience aimed at providing a comprehensive understanding of various folk art forms, including insights into the associated traditions and the artisans who practice them.

DIVERSED ARTFORMS COVERED

With over 80 workshops and more than 2000 students, we have curated experiences encompassing 26 different folk art forms from across India. From the intricate Chamba Rumal and Kangra miniature of Himachal Pradesh to the vibrant Mata ni Pachedi of Gujarat, and from the graceful Assam miniature to the playful Tholu Bomalatta of South India, we pride ourselves on exploring rare art forms across the length and breadth of the country.

EXPERT PERSONAL GUIDANCE

Our workshops are led by accomplished master artists, including state and national awardees, Shilp Guru and PadmaSri recipients, ensuring an authentic learning experience with the use of traditional materials. Additionally, classes are personally mentored by our founder, Ms. Vinati Bhatt, an artist herself, who enriches the learning journey with her deep knowledge of art history and traditions.
